What A Week!

Things have definitely been busy around the Douglass house this week. With dentist appointments, doctor's appointments, revival with Dr. Larry Brown, Patch the Pirate, and the normal daily routine - I haven't had the chance to put on a new post. Amiss all of the stuff we had going on this week, our children still did half a million cute things that blessed my heart.

Today when I picked the kids up from my friend, Pam's, house Isaac came waltzing up the stairs dressed in Caleb's camouflage gear and Joseph's water gun. He looked so cute, so I had Nicole run to the truck and grab my camera to snap a picture.

Another Great Day at Super Church

Today we had another great day at Super Church. Unfortunately Daniel had to be at work today, so he didn't get to be there. Although several of the children asked where you were Daniel. Nevertheless, they all had a great time.

Here, the girls on the right side of the picture are screaming "Praise ye the Lord!" while the boys are waiting for their turn to try to be louder than the girls with "Hallelujah!"

Some of the teenagers from Sigma are helping the fellas out.

Kristi and Cheyenne were working hard in the kitchen preparing lunch for all those hungry kids out there working up an appetite

This is the Kindergarten through Second graders. Pam, Amanda, Amy, Christy, and I have this particular age group in our class.

This is Christy's daughter, Kaleigh. She loves Brother Dandle! That is what she calls Daniel. I think it's so sweet.

Celine and Naomi couldn't wait for their turn to get a picture taken.

Back to School Party

Okay! I know I didn't put a post on yesterday, but we were extremely busy. First we had a Back to School Party for all of the homeschooling families at 10 o'clock. We all brought a covered dish, a dessert, and a drink. Before we ate we went over the schedule for this school year while Daniel took all of the kids to the gym for a game of kickball. It was great!

Malachi just hanging out in the kitchen while we waited for a couple of the other families to get there.

Joseph found something to snack on - you know, to keep him busy.

Ethan had a ball while his sister carted him around the room in the highchair.

Here are some of the kids playing after we finished eating.

Daniel felt inclined to grace us with his presence yesterday.

Pam couldn't stop giggling when I was trying to take her picture.

Pam's daughter, Nicole, posing for me.

Kristi and Hannah on their way out.

Kelly helping pack up the leftovers.

Malachi wheeling around the trash can to clean up the tables.

We had a great time at the Co - Op and I am looking forward to this school year. After we left the Fellowship Hall we went home to do some cleaning and other miscellaneous jobs around the house. Since this was Daniel's first day off (other than Sundays of course) in like a month we had a lot of tedious work to be done at the house. And believe me when I tell you - he found a lot of work for us to do.

Yesterday evening when we had finished at home we met the Rohrer's and the Carter's at the Patterson Springs Park to let the little ones play, play a game of soccer, and for the ladies to walk around the track. It couldn't have been a nicer day to go to the park , I didn't even break a sweat. Everyone one, especially the kids, had a lot of fun just playing at the park and fellowshipping with our friends.

After we finished playing at the park we went home to pick up Daniel's truck before going over to the Rohrer's house so Joel could help Daniel fix his driver's side window. The motor went out and the window would not stay up - every time we would fix it temporarily it would eventually just fall back down inside the door. It never really bothered Daniel too much though - unless it was raining. And then he became quite perturbed. But thank heavens they fixed the window.

Finally, it was time to go home, get ready for bed, and have devotions.
Yesterday was a great day - we got a lot accomplished and just had a lot of fun just spending time with each other.

My Sweet Boys

Malachi had a dentist's appointment at 8 o'clock this morning. A friend of mine kept the rest of the kids for me while we went to the dentist. He had to have two fillings. After we were finished at the dentist we stopped at Wal Mart to do a little grocery shopping before I picked up the rest of the kids.

After we got home I decided to take some pictures of the kids, but the girls were playing dolls back in their room. So, I just took some pictures of the boys. Now that Ethan has learned how to scoot - he's always on his belly.

Ethan must be getting ready to start teething again.

I love it when he smiles like this.

I had all of the boys (Joseph, Ethan, Malachi, and Isaac) straight in a row. However, Ethan started to army crawl towards the camera.

Well, that's about it for today. I have a lot to do before church tonight. See ya later!

Testing

Just want to see if I got my new signature right.

Mommy's Little Boy .....

This is our first week back in school and we are all still trying to adjust our schedules. Poor Joseph couldn't hold on any longer. Usually he takes his nap after lunch, but today he fell asleep sitting up on the couch watching his favorite Blue's Clues movie. I was kind of sad when I saw him sleeping because usually I snuggle up beside him on the couch until he goes to sleep. I guess he figured if his Mommy couldn't play with him at the time then he would just take a little nap.

After Joseph woke up I made him a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich - his favorite. He ate it on the front porch while Haili finished up her school work and I cleaned out the car. And I don't even know what kind of face Isaac is making.

Do I want another sandwich or not?

Back to School

Today we started back to school. Haili is the third grade this year, Malachi started kindergarten, and Alanna is in Pre-K. They were all pretty excited to get started.

Haili, Malachi, and Alanna

Haili doing a great job with her writing.

Malachi putting a lot of concentration into his Math coloring sheet.

Alanna stopped working on her coloring page to cheese for her Mommy.

I meant to put these next three pictures at the top of this post with the picture of Haili, Malachi, and Alanna......but I forgot that I had some pictures of them doing there school work that needed to go on also.

Haili

Malachi

Alanna

Don't be fooled! They aren't this sweet to each other ALL the time.

All of the kids (with the exception of Ethan) got together so I could snap a picture of them.

Ethan was also very busy today. While Haili, Malachi, and Alanna sat at the table doing their school work - Ethan pulled himself up on the chair for the first time.

Ethan is fascinated with my camera. He's probably wondering why it is always flashing in his face. I always tell him he's so tinkin' tute!
