Our Homeschool Co-op

Justin Morrow did a great job leading the music.

Mrs. Tammy and Cheyenne sang a special song for us.

And then Brother R.J. preached to the kids for a little while in chapel.

Haili was really excited about getting started on her clay pinch-pot.

Malachi is ready to get crackin'.

Alanna is just happy that she gets to make a clay pot too.

Forget the clay pot, I'm squeezin' this stuff.

Joseph is enjoying a little snack of Cinnamon Teddy Grahams while watching the big kids play with clay.

Mrs. Samantha Romero is getting Ginger ready to be brushed by the kids.

Isaac is first up to brush Ginger.

Deborah and Laurel brushing Ginger while everyone else waits for their turn.

Isaac was also first to ride on Ginger. Mrs. Samantha said, "Who's first?" and before anyone else could say anything he darted out into the ring.

Alanna got to ride next. She was a little more timid than Isaac.

And then Malachi. You should have seen him riding around the ring: he thought he was a cowboy or something. But that's just Malachi.

Finally, Haili got her turn and she was ready to go, since she looked forward to riding a horse all day long.

This is one of the horses when you first walk into the stables. I didn't see his/her name though.

This is Max: I think he was the biggest horse there and he was huge.

Here's a better picture of Max. Isn't he beautiful? Mrs. Samantha showed us some of the really neat things that Max can do. She has trained him extremely well: he did exactly what she wanted him to without any resistance. The older kids got to ride Max after the little kids were done riding Ginger.

Isaac wanted to get up on the saddle, so I could take his picture. He said he wants his Daddy to buy him a horse.

All of the homeschooling families at our church get together once a month down at the Fellowship Hall for a Co-op. We have pledges, singing, special presentations, chapel, and lunch. And then we have art class and a special activity for the day. I didn't get to go last month, but I am so glad that we could make it today. For our special activity today we went on a fieldtrip to Mrs. Samantha Romero's horse ranch. She told us all about horses, grooming horses, training horses, and everything that she does there at her ranch. It is so nice to have people in the church like Mrs. Romero. It was so sweet of her to allow us all to come down to her ranch and let them see what goes on there. Thank you so much Mrs. Samantha !

Fun In The Pool

Isaac did not want to get in the pool. He just threw the pool toys into the pool instead.

Joseph, however, was ready to get in. Isn't he so cute?

The kids and I had a lot of fun swimming at the Rohrer's house on that hot summer's day. Isaac finally did get into the pool with Mrs. Pam, but it took some serious coaxing by me and Pam. I praise the Lord for good Christian friends and good Christian fun.
